Life Coaching

Are you lacking in confidence, stressed or feeling stuck?
Life coaching could be just what you need to move forward

Life coaching is perfect for those individuals who are ready to take back control and transform their lives.

Let's face it, life can be a bit of a roller coaster with many ups and downs. I want you to know that no matter how stuck you feel right now, you're not alone. Even if you have no idea what it is that you want, that's okay. Coaching can help you realign with your passion and find your true purpose.

Identifying and overcoming those things that are holding you back is easier than you think especially when you have someone supporting you. I will be there to hold your hand as you learn new strategies on how to navigate the daily stresses, grow in confidence and get clear about what it is you actually want.

It's time to take back control and be the driving force of your life going forward.

My simple 3 step formula:

Awareness

Increase awareness of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to improve understanding and expand your choices.

Acceptance

Accept the things you can't change, love yourself (warts and all) and improve relationships.

Achieve

Take a series of small and purposeful actions that create the life (or business) you desire.

All transformation begins with awareness. Awareness of your values, beliefs about a situation and external factors that influence your behaviour and that of others.

Greater awareness leads to new options and choices for responding to our situation. We can learn to accept things we can't influence (like the past) and understand our situation and the behaviour of others better.

More choices lead to better decision making. Through taking small but purposeful actions you can achieve the results in life you're seeking.

Too many voices

Whatever choices you make in life (and business) everyone has an opinion. Your friends, family and loved ones tell you what you should do. Colleagues and experts all think they know better than you do.

It's tough to know who to listen to. Many of the voices are telling you different and often conflicting things. This creates indecision and overwhelm in you.

It's time to cut down the voices for a while and stop seeking approval from others. When you do this you can find a clear path to your desired outcome, you reduce your stress and start moving forward in your life.

For maximum results, only follow one mentor, leader or coach at a time. If you think that's me, click the button below and book a call. I'll be waiting.

Not sure what to do

This can relate to the previous issue - too many voices. The problem is that you are conflicted in pursuing a course of action or paricular lifestyle.

What you need is clarity, but it's hard to find clarity when you constantly over-worrying about the outcome or going around in circles questioning yourself.

There is a natural tendancy when we're stressed to catastraphise. This means to make everything seem worse than they really are.

You need to remove the emotion, look at the situation from different perspectives and focus on what you want, not what you don't want.

Getting a third party to help you think this through is the easiest way of finding clarity. They are not attached to the situation the same way that you are,

Feeling trapped

Sometimes we can feel trapped. We feel like our situation is untenable but don't have a way out or other choices available to us.

If this is you know that we always have a choice. It's a matter of seeing it. It's also a matter of confidence.

Think of how many people you hear about that remained in an abusive relationship or stayed working in the same job for forty years of their life and hated every minute of it.

From an outside point of view it's clear that there are other choices. Talk though your problems with someone outside of the situation.

If you're ready to start taking back control of your life, be prepared to take action. You don't have to do it all at once. Little steps taken one after another can take you a long way.

And know that you don't have to do it alone.

Lacking confidence

While we all seek confidence and admire those who seem to have it in abundance, confidence is not a pre-requisit to getting things done.

Want to know the best way of building confidence? Do things that scare you until they become familiar.

We have what is called a confidence-competence loop.  The more we practice something, the more it becomes familiar. Familiarity and practice breeds confidence

When you don't have confidence, the only thing you need is courage. You need the courage to try and the discipline to stick to something even when you make a few mistakies.

This is where a coach can be particularly useful. They can help you build your confidence by taking small but purposeful actions that gradually take you toward your goal.

It's not worked before

We often judge things based on what has happened before. This is often particularly the case when you've been in the same situation for a prolonged period of time.

It's important to remember that the past doesn't equal the future. Because something didn't work before is often not a good reason to give up trying.

Take a baby learning to walk. A baby doesn't give up because it's legs aren't strong enough or it doesn't possess the coordination to walk like adults. All a baby knows is that it's desire to achieve exceeds any bumps and bruises it gets along the way.

There could be a lot of reasons why what you have done previously did not work for you. I'm not suggesting blindly repeat past mistakes. But in every mistake is a lesson. Something not working is simply feedback. It's not the lesson itself.

If you focus on figuring out why something didn't work and then change the conditions in which you try, eventually you can stumble upon the answer you're looking for.

Having a coach or third party involved is a surefire way of shortcutting your learning curve. Plus, it also helps to have that little push and encouragement sometimes we're in so desparate need of.
